Changing facts link to the source
Border rules, fares, timetables, ferries, road guidance and weather-sensitive services link back to the relevant official site.
About howtoireland
howtoireland is an independent, Ireland-focused planning guide: less interest in collecting famous stops, more interest in whether the day will still be enjoyable by dinner.
What the site is for
Most Ireland plans do not fail because someone missed a landmark. They fail because arrival day was treated as a full day, the rental car was collected too early, or two distant regions were squeezed into the same week. That is the gap this site tries to fill.
Editorial standard
Border rules, fares, timetables, ferries, road guidance and weather-sensitive services link back to the relevant official site.
A route recommendation is an informed planning view, not a fact. The tradeoff should be clear enough for you to disagree and choose differently.
Substantial updates change the visible date and sitemap date. A date does not replace checking the linked source before travel.
If a place name, route detail or practical instruction is wrong, send the page URL and the correction. It will be checked rather than quietly ignored.
The paid products are independent regional route guides delivered through an unlisted HTML access link, with PDF fallbacks. They are not an app or live concierge service.
The current site does not use hotel, restaurant or tour affiliate links. If that changes, commercial relationships should be disclosed where the link appears.
Help and corrections
